The road is generally in good condition, although there were a number of areas under construction between Stewart Crossing and Dawson City. Our travel on the Klondike started at the junction with the Campbell Highway, heading north stopping at Minto/Fort Selkirk and Dawson City before joining the Dempster. On return we came south the length of the Klondike stopping at Carmacks to the junction of the Alaskan Highway near Whitehorse. The amount of traffic on the Klondike was significantly less than the Alaskan.
