Simpson Lake

The day starts overcast and cool. The Campbell Highway generally heads north following the Frances River valley and then passes Frances Lake.
The highway slowly turns west as one approaches Finlayson Lake and the continental divide which at this point is a divide between the Arctic Ocean and the Bering Sea
As the day progresses, the overcast breaks up into alternate sunny and showery areas. The wilderness here is quite beautiful.
Very few other vehicles are seen. This is no place to have a breakdown, as it will be a good hike before coming back to civilization. Today's destination is Faro.
